Finally, a proper dance party for the next generation to experience Australia’s dance music scene on Friday, November 15, from 5:30 to 9:00 PM.

Year 3000 promises and unparalleled experience with The Vault’s world-class sound system, lasers, and immersive projections. But that’s just the beginning - Canberra teens can also expect live dance crews, fire shows and ping pong tables add to keep the vibe going. Non-alcoholic drinks and food trucks will be on site to fuel the fun.

Peking Duk, Canberra’s own chart-topping duo, is set to headline Year 3000, a one-of-a-kind rave experience for the next generation. This special under-18s event offers young fans a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in Australia’s vibrant dance music culture.

Formed in 2010 by Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles, Peking Duk has been riding high after a sold-out 13-date winter DJ tour across Australia, a headline performance at the iconic Bunnings Warehouse Party, and the release of their latest single. Now, they’re set to bring their high-energy sound back to their hometown for this exclusive event at The Vault.

Parents asking WTF!?

Some clever high-school students are working with the event managers behind The Vault, for a cool but safe celebration for their age group. Security, cleaning, professional production and careful protocols are being put in place to help kids dance to great music before they become 18.

The Vault's managers believe more quality events are needed for this age group, who often don't know what to expect when they turn 18 and go out. Parents are welcome to take a sneak peak inside the venue - and hang out in one of the nearby venues if you'd like - but are expected to understand this is not a family rave. Rather, this is a special and safe experience for young people about to enter their dancing years.

Security

This event will have security and venue managers to ensure the safety of all attendees.

This is an alcohol free event and anyone intoxicated will be declined entry.

Drinks and Food

The Vault bar will be serving non-alcaholic drinks and snacks. A delicious food tuck will be beside the Vaukt, and food is available from various outlets within the Dairy Road precinct, such as Brodburger (in Capital Brewing Co.), Canteen, Contentious Character, Soom Soom and Jasper and Myrtle Chocolates.

Surrounding Precinct

The Dairy Road offers gardens, a gallery, brewery, ramen shop, winery, Kidzplore, chocolate shop, yoga studios and more. See dairyroad.com.au for a map and list of options.
